ADR
ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE PREVENTION AND RESOLUTION PROCESS The Alternative Dispute Prevention and Resolution Process basically consists of an Ombudsman, Informal Conciliation and Arbitration. It is designed to speed injury treatment, resolve claims quickly and reduce or avoid costs associated with litigation. All employers participating in this ADR Program must have a current collective bargaining agreement with the Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters and be primarily in the construction business. Employers must also use a Medical Provider that has been approved for our program. The Trust has prepared Employee Packets that will guide your workers through the ADR process in the event of an onsite injury. If there is an injury, the employee should contact the Ombudsman provided by the Trust at no charge to employer or employee.
