Once the employer has signed the Workers Compensation Addendum to its contract with the union, their employees are covered by this special workers’ compensation program. 

The Employee Packet provides information the employee will need if they suffer a job related injury:

• Employee must notify the employer and select a provider of medical treatment from the Exclusive List of Medical Providers;
   
• If a dispute arises, it must be resolved within the dispute resolution process in the Workers’ Compensation Addendum;
   
• A labor-management Trust has hired a skilled Ombudsman to aid and counsel the employee regarding claims, complaints and inquiries.  This will help prevent or limit disputes and is a benefit that is free to the employee.
